Distributive Networks has volunteered Text Messaging services for our National Equality March. Based in Washington, D.C., they are are excited to be a part of our National Equality March.

Last November, thousands of people protested the passage of Proposition 8 in California. These early demonstrations were spontaneous, initiated by a handful of people and built by word of mouth. Because of these demonstrations, just weeks after the passage of Proposition 8, opinion polls showed that a significant number of Californians who voted for the measure would now vote against it. Their minds were changed by the demonstrations that stridently asserted the right to equality of LGBT people.

The National Equality March seeks to use all tools there are in order to make this historic Civil Rights demonstration as powerful as possible. To that end, we are working with Distributive Networks, which has volunteered text messaging services for the march. You will be able to forward these messages to your circle of friends to help build momentum for the National Equality March in Washington, D.C., as well as the many local solidarity actions that will be taking place.
