I was at my parent’s home in Fairfax, VA last Sunday and was taking the Metro to head to DC to go to the Shakespeare Theatre. When I got to the Vienna Metro Station, it was filled with Marchers for the Health Care March on the Mall in DC. Bases from states from Georgia and others states were parking at Metro Stations in the VA & MD suburbs and marchers were taking Metro into DC. There were 1 hour lines for metrocards. It was INSANE with subway cars packed with people. Are buses for the National Equality March going directly to downtown DC near the Mall or Metro? It’s legit to park the buses at a Metro but people should get metrocards ahead of time should you plan on this.
When you say equality what do mean? Are the latin American gays are going to be benefited from this do not matter what status they have in this country. Or are only the citizens?
Because when you mean equality is equality as the word means.
Many hispanic gay that do not have leagal status rights in this country will not participate because the benefits will be only for the citizens
The DC Metro yellow line will be CLOSED for maintenance all of Columbus Day weekend, so parking buses in VA and taking the Metro in doesn’t sound like a good option at this time. YES, everyone should be encouraged to buy their roundtrip Metrocards in advance of the weekend, thanks for the reminder!
is it to late to sign up for the trip to dc
